THIS WEEK ON GAY USA (taped 8/19/15): A moving, insightful and riveting one-hour roundtable discussion with four long-term survivors of HIV/AIDS, men who have been living with HIV for more than three decades. They share their personal experiences and struggles and what got them through years when most of their peers were dying within two years of diagnosis. They tell us about the community that nurtured them and with whom they united to create early AIDS services organizations and activist groups. They talk about how the stigma around testing positive has actually increased since the advent of life-saving protease inhibitors in the mid-1990s. And they make passionate cases for what needs to be done now to prevent new HIV infections and support those who do test positive.

The four eminent and inspiring people with HIV/AIDS joining us are:

Reginald T. Brown, M. Ed. VOCAL-NY Community Leader and HASA Advisory Board, HIV+ since 1986

Sean Strub, Executive Director, SERO Project, Founder, POZ Magazine, 35 year HIV+ survivor

Sean McKenna, GMHC Long Term Survivor Advisory Board Member, HIV+ since 1982

Mark Milano, HIV Educator and Activist, publications manager at ACRIA, Living with HIV since 1981
