LGBT News Homophobic bakery sends apologies to LGBTQ organization

    The gist of it is this: They are sending some prominent LGBTQ organisations with cakes, a DVD of the movie "Audacity" and a $25 gift card to a restaurant.

    I haven't watch the trailer or any real info on the movie itself, so I can't speak with authority, though some media has considered the movie anti-lgbt. Maybe I will see it for myself when I have time.

    But what about you? What do you think about this gesture?

    For the record, Audacity is an anti-gay film which, you're not gonna believe this...seriously, it's totally original and inspired, says that gays and lesbians are sinful but can go to heaven if they "repent". Also, "a" restaurant? What kind? Which one? Considering what movie they sent them, I wouldn't be very eager to go there.

    Just like Josh Duggar, these people have learned nothing.

    I feel like being part of the LGBTQ+ community or hating it is an awesome way of promoting/selling your shitty ideas, whether in the form of books, movies, cakes or w/e nowadays. It's so profitable.
    Media's full of gay or anti-gay people and shows that look so unreal and fake.

    Very few people left are truly inspirational and fight for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. In my opinion anyways ~

    I'd send them a copy of prayers for bobby or something like that, and a card acknowledging their reconciliation. They watch it: maybe they accidentally learn a thing or two and make a genuine apology. They refuse: you expose the bigot hypocrites for what they are and beat them at their own game. Its win win.

    These people are doing this to promote that movie, and it's all about the publicity. They have a strong public investment and commitment to being anti-gay bigots. They are martyred heroes for their side. If you think Prayers for Bobby is somehow going to magically melt their hearts... well it isn't going to happen.

    They basically sent all those groups a giant "fuck you", and probably spit in the cake they made too.

    However, you're right. They might not be into documentaries. We could always send them a copy of this movie as well:

    It's pretty astounding to me how many religious zealuts will wrap their bigotry, ignorance, and hatred up in some sweet-sounding bullshit and expect people to buy it. It's passive-aggressive, and shows no sense of actual understanding.
