i heard gay/lesbian marriage is legal in canada, but i'm not sure. And i mean actual marriage. my girlfriend and i desperately want to get married when we're older but we don't know where.
It's legal in Canada, Massachusetts and Conneticut. And, if I remember correctly, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and Spain all legalised it. *checks* About.com said it is, but their American states need to bo updated.
In every country I can think of, gay and lesbian marriages are all lumped under one banner. Either they are both permitted, or neither are. I can't think of a single place that allows females to marry each other but not males.
There are only a couple places I can think of. I know Canada, and 2 US states (Massachusetts and Connecticut). Other than that there are probably a couple European countries like Spain and Norway that allow it.
I'm surprised its illegal in California. Granted I've never been there so I don't really know what peoples attitudes are like, but I thought Cali was one of the more liberal states? Especially with San Fransisco and Hollywood, no?
