So long as I can bring in my Quran into school and give everyone a card with its quotes. But that would be forcing my religion onto others according to some of these people. Whelp. I'm a terrorist.
(Btw I follow the Flying Spaghetti Monster, not Islam )

I wish I was still in school. I'd have so much fun with this. I could say something like "Bringing the whole Torah would have been too big, but I have another way to show I'm Jewish "

Or just brought The Sriracha Cookbook.

Bring Bio Textbook to church day.

I mean, if you can pass out things about Christianity in school, you should for other religions too. America isn't a Christian country and while there is no problem with religion, all should be equal.

This is the type of thing where I would bring a Satanic Bible just to piss people off.

I think "Bring Neil DeGrasse Tyson to creationist meeting" day would see a lot of success.

    Is that Dawkins' latest?

May we be touched by his noodly appendage!

Coming back closer to the topic, this reminds me of the "Day of Truth" that FotF (as I recall) organized to overlap with GLSEN's Day of Silence. So, in other words, I wonder if it isn't likely to turn into "bring your bible to school and beat the LGBT kids over the head with it" day.

I think everyone should read Hitchens. My writing improved drastically after reading God is Not Great. So like someone already suggested, I fully support bring your Hitchens book to school day

Here is the thing. I know several gay Christians. We in the United States have the freedom of religion. Which means if someone wants to be a Buddahist then that is all wonderful. If someone wants to be a Christian then awesome as well. If someone wants to be a Muslim then that is awesome as well. We as the people need to start respecting each other's religion without infringing on people's rights. If kids want to bring a bible to school, LET THEM! If kids want to bring a Koran to school, LET THEM! If kids want to bring a pride flag, LET THEM!!

Let's start respecting each other, and stop infringing on people's rights.

The problem is a lot of kids are not raised to respect others religions and it's just best to keep religion separate from public schools.

    They aren't going far enough.

The school should be handing out the Bibles, funded by taxpayer dollars, and it made a replacement for the Arts, History, Science, and Politics. To accommodate the other faiths, a small disclaimer will be sent home to each and every parent, which says:

We're not teaching religion, because it is a controversial and potentially offensive topic. It is in our best interest to stick to facts, as God tells us.

I'd rather they had a religions of the world class for high schoolers... show where religions come from and what they believe and open up people's minds and show that everyone is pretty much coming from a place of love~ It wouldn't be a conversion tool (lol, I liked how they said "conversation cards" instead of tracts XD;;; smdh) but as a way to understand the people around you and the world we live in (and maybe shut some bigots tf up, lol)~ I think people fear what they don't understand so if they know more about them, maybe they'll be more understanding? But, maybe I'm giving people too much credit? lol /idealistic hopes

This wouldn't be a problem at all if you were also allowed to bring a Torah/Koran/Satanic Bible. It's a little annoying. Like candyjiru said, a religion class would be great. Religion shouldn't be exempt from schools, but it should be neutral to schools.
