Um I just saw this on FB, but apparently it's National Coming Out Day today? (10/11) Does anyone else know about this? I didn't. But... Guess there's a day for everything. Closeted people, this is your day.
I didn't come out today but my mom told me today that she told her sisters a few months ago that I'm gay.
I celebrated National Sausage Pizza Day yesterday, but didn't have an opportunity to celebrate National Coming Out Day. It's a fine idea, to be sure, and I've felt bad in the past about missing my goal of coming out to someone on NCOD, but ultimately coming out has to be on one's own terms and one's own schedule. I'll just have to do it when the time is right, even if that doesn't line up with 10/11.
