Though the link contains no graphic content it does contain images featuring abuse and harassment that may be unsettling to some viewers

There are other groups that have done similar things in Russia, though I believe that this is the most recent incident. I'm surprised that any of them are actually getting sentences longer than five years.

I wonder when Gay men will kidnap homophobes to torture them. Either way, sad news. :frowning2:

again, I like my universal 'do unto others' law. That's the second time in a couple of days I've had a want to beat homophobes to near death in a back room in less than 7 days...

    Welp, that's my weekend sorted.

It's good that these sadistic homophobic fucks have been locked up though. It's not very often russia does something sensible, but this is good. What they did reminds me of what nazi empathisers/supporters in the Netherlands did in world war 2 to people who helped the allies. Shave off their hair and paint swastika's on their heads.

    Good job, Russia!

But what hurts is the abusers mentality that torture is okay, but being with someone you love is not.

It's really sad what happened. However, it's good that this was recognized as not being okay behaviour. Hopefully, things will continue to move in the right direction in Russia.

It's sad that jailing people for being evil is considered a "step forward." :/

That is so disgusting, yet at the same time I'm very surprised and pleased that action was taken - but I wouldn't go far enough to say the mentality in Russia is changing.

I will dare to say that the reason they put it on camera is because the atmosphere in russia (thanks to putin) is that being homophob is ok..?

Good step and good gesture. But this is one out of...how many? Are these thugs simply scapegoats to quell the public while other atrocity are carried out? Or perhaps Putin finally got tired of this mess at home while he is engaging ISIS elsewhere and want less problems?
