I believed I read about the same thing last year. Who knows, could be the same person doing it again this year.

Oh come on. People just need to get over it. Just accept that you worship a zombie deity, and you'll find it hard to see this as offensive. Jesus came back from the dead, and large swaths of his followers demand that you give up your brains if you want to join. It sounds like a zombie cult to me, so I find this perfectly appropriate.

We all know had it been a more traditional nativity scene there wouldn't be this problem.

Well anyway they got the wrong holiday. Jesus was born during christmas and and came back from the dead at Easter.

Also he was not Zomblie like when he came back from the dead.

    The religious right -

Now, who would like to hear a story about a bridge?

Christianity would have a lot more followers if that did happen though.

Christmas is just an adoption by Catholicism of a collection of pagan holidays that occur at or around the Winter solstice. The idea that the Christian messiah Jesus was born on the date is a farce made to legitimize their adopting of pagan traditions in order to acquire converts to their religion.

"Adopt" is the kindest term I can use, by the way.

That's just brilliant. I wish people were more okay with the mockery of religion because it's always going to happen... especially considering the shit Islam is being put through, you'd think one would be open to a bit of gentle teasing.

Well, actually there was that bit where Zombie Jesus made his disciple Thomas put his fingers in the open wounds in Jesus' hands so that Thomas would stop doubting him.
That was pretty freaking Zombie-like. Kinda made me squirm.

I mean... freedom of religion. Praise zombie Jesus. He came back from the dead, afterall.

I think someone was lazy so they didn't put away their Halloween decorations, then they thought "I can make this work!"

Pretty sensitive for a holiday that not only has clearly syncretic roots, but extremely recent as well.

the bible humpers used to ignore Christmas. It really only changed as it became a commercialized holiday.
