Moderate Marco? Rubio Wants to Undo Gay Marriage, End Obama

    Alleged moderate, Marco Rubio.

There's no GOP candidate for president who has any chance of winning the nomination who is not a hateful bigot. Some of them just talk a little more sweetly about it, but they'd all try to roll back our progress

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I doubt the Supreme Court would let any of them get away with much in this area.

There's no GOP candidate that I would even remotely consider voting for. I really wish they'd quit pandering to the fundies and go back to pandering to the wealthy.

You mean this Supreme Court, that decided Obergefell by one vote? The one with 4 members 77 or older, 3 of whom voted in the majority? The court where the next president will likely nominate replacements for 2-4 of them?

I don't think that Marco Rubio would immediately move to get rid of same sex marriage, but it's very clear he's no fan of lgbt rights and would nominate justices who would be against lgbt rights.

It's not something we should hand wave away as not mattering. That's how bigots win, when we pretend that because we've won that there will be no backlash.

If they just do that, they won't win. Pandering to the hay shakers is the only way they can get their plutocratic agenda pushed through.

Give the rubes something to hate and not only will they not mind while you pick their pockets, they'll cheer you on

Well at least he doesn't hide from the fact that he doesn't support lgbt rights. Some fail at pretending. Most people have the suck up and you will go far mentality. ugh.

I doubt he'll win even win anyway, but he seems animate to keep bringing up the faith argument again. I mean does he even know what he is saying? He sounds so manufactured.

Rubio doesn't believe in rights, Trump wants to ban all Muslims, and Ben Carson denies evolution.

God, could the Republican party get anymore ridiculous?

I think most people have assumed he's a human suit piloted by little people; that, or an actual robot... neither would be surprising at this point.

If he actually said all that, well that's quite stupid. The GOP can't win the general election without a moderate. He might be saying that to appeal to the Republican base-he was being interviewed by CBN after all- and, in case he wins the primaries, he could adopt a more moderate speech.

Man the GOP is making this too easy for Hillary.

    Rubio's always been a mean-spirited, Tea-Party extremist, and is a perfect illustration of we must defeat the Republicans, and not let one slip into the White House. It's curious that he's been painted as somehow 'moderate', when that's far from the case;

    -he supports ending gay marriage,

-opposes abortion even in cases of rape and incest

-he supports a regressive tax plan, which would slash taxes for the wealthy, while the working classes and poor would pay more

-he opposes healthcare as something people should have basic access to

    And on and on.

He's the same old shit, in a slightly fresher looking package, with a full head of hair.

    Don't be fooled.

And people wonder why I want to move to UK. Politics are so tiresome and ridiculous in America.
