It's nice that these people finally got to get out of their country for an opportunity at a better life. It's about time.

Though Canada, I sincerely hope you guys are prepared to welcome 300 million Americans if Trump, Rubio, or Carson is elected.

I saw another video and it just made me proud for the world! If we can't be big people and help others, then I just give up!

    Quite happy with that.

My school collects toys/food/clothes for Syrian families. Anyway, we welcome you, too, refugees.

I might move to Canada when I'm older, have family over there and I like the environment a bit more than England. [I know the ''grass is greener'' etc. but the air is cleaner too].

As someone who's really close with the first Nations, working with several of their leaders up north for over a decade I can tell you that it's media propaganda. Trudeau's been all talk so far, I highly doubt we'll see a change for them which is sad.

There's also a serious homeless problem in this country. While bringing in many refugees is very good, we also have to think of our own during these harsh economical times.

As an American, this is just plain embarrassing. We should have had the same response, instead of all of this ignorance and hate.

The SNP in the Scottish Government do similar stunts to this, it is no more than populism. The only reason it's done is to take the light away from all the troubles, people need to stop being fooled by such political moves.

I agree with this to a certain point, many people are blinded by all the political bullshit.

Bringing 25,000 refugees into a country with a small ppulationin a matter of a few months is not political bullshit. It's a reality.

As for the Aboriginal problem, the Truth & Reconciliation Project is working on it, as is the investigation into how aboriginal women are treated. First Nations people are becoming more educated and thus more are able to become partners in solving the problems in their communities.

There are two sides to the homeless problem which every country has. You can't blame the government for everything. If people become alcoholics and drug addicts, is it the government's fault? It's also not the government's fault that oil prices have plummeted.

We are facing challenges, but we are still able to enjoy a high standard of living here compared to most countries. Just check the Best Countries To Live In lists.

No one blamed the government for people being homeless.

So disregard a government actually doing something positive for a population of people who need help because it's a political move? I would hope that a majority of people would not be that cynical about this move, and future moves to help Syrian refugees. Canada and other nations such as Germany and to a lesser extent the United States are doing a wonderful humanitarian good by accepting these refugees, and it is a much better alternative than letting them stay in Syria to either be killed by ISIL or gassed by Assad.

All that matters is that Canada is going back to it's roots, its a beautiful thing to see how happy the refugees are to be here.

    That's the spirit Justin!

Canada needs those with a critical eye like you and cheerleaders like me. We can meet in the middle... and build an even better country together.
