I saw the launch live today at school! I feel such a surge of pride for mankind when I see rocket launches, and it seems doubly cool that this is a historic event for British space buffs.

Tim Peake: Soyuz has successfully docked with the ISS - live | Science | The Guardian
This article is about Tim Peake and the rest of the crew. It is updated live. You can also se a replay of the live broadcast here, and there is a long documentry about Tim's journey and training here.

Good luck to Tim Peake with his 6 month stay, as well as his crewmates: Yuri Malenchenko from Russia, and Tim Kopra with NASA.

Must be nice for your school to show rocket launches and not go on about it being bad.

It seems like it would have happened much earlier than now though.

Yeah it's pretty cool, he's not the first Brit to go to the ISS, he's the first one to go with the European Space Agency

Ah, the Brits are in space!

So, are they setting aside time for tea and crumpets?

Or at least some time to catch up on Dr. Who?
