Holy shit. It's a bit ironic, seeing how ancient Greeks weren't very opposed to same sex relationships.

I'm pretty sure most Greeks were homosexual but had heterosexual relationships to carry on the bloodline.

Freak [google definitions] : "a very unusual and unexpected event or situation."

By definition, maybe it's only freakish to the archbishop as hasn't met many homosexual people, as if did then homosexuality would become less unusual and less unexpected to them personally.

    And what is "human"?

Although saying that, personally I do not think we should be allowing designer babies. I think this as one side of it is it's just another way for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer and we're supposed to be making things more equal.

Oh, this might be a good idea, well, not really 'good', but I think it's come to this. Tell the homosexual and homosexual supporting people in Greece to spit on the archbishop. If they get told off, just have them quote "Do onto others that you'll like to receive" from the Bible and hopefully the archbishop will get it's not nice to spit on anyone [and spitting is kind of gross, in my opinion].

....brb, currently holding in the urge to rage so hard at this.

As someone who has been spat at for being gay (or at least when word got out I was questioning a while back) I know how it feels to be treated as such. But this- THIS just takes it to another level entirely. I mean to imply that we are not human- doesn't this seem reminiscent of certain events?

And the biggest joke of all- "It's not natural". No, it occurs in nature in a lot of species- which proves that is highly unlikely to be a "man-made" thing. Besides, homophobia only occurs in one species. So tell me, which one is unnatural again?

    I rest my metaphorical case.

I hate the homophobia in Eastern Europe. I always see Greece as the more progressive of the Balkans. I hope this passes. Shame on the Archbishop for his comments. Jesus would never spit on gays.

    That's just plain mean!

It's not like we go out of our way to spit on Archbishops.

I find it odd that some commenters here are furious or sad.i mean its obvious the archbishop has strong religious beliefs due to his title.Religions bashing homosexuality is age old and we should get used to it by now.these ignorant people are the ones who need love, carring and reassurance the most.
