LGBT News hash-tags in Saudi Arabia on twitter over suggestions on how to kill gay people

It's 2016, right? I haven't been magically transported to the B.C. days right? Oh, well. Let's hope this type of mindset is destroyed in future generations.

 

this is pretty horrible.try not to get too upset over this, remember, the're just bigoted idiots. most of the rest of the world is not like that because most people now accept LGBT rights and people etc...

besides their society has caused this. im sure that this kind of stuff would be happening in our countries if our countries hadn't developed and become more accepting in the last decade(s)

 

And here we have one of the many reasons why I don't even want to be associated with humanity anymore. I knew it was awful, so I probably shouldn't have read that. Now I feel like I'm going to puke.

 

That's terrible but at the end of the day, that's Saudi Arabia in a nutshell. The bigger problem is that there are other countries with similar mindset or worse.

 

The world is depressing.

 

Saudi Arabia is the most reprehensible country in existence. Can't wait for the oil to dry up - I'll be so, so pleased when their country is returned to being the stoneage shithole it's supposed to be. It's honestly about time we washed our hands with the Middle East - no amount of intervention, help, meddling or assistance will help that region of the world.

 

Saudi Arabia, like most of the muslim world, are living in the past still. They're stuck in the medieval ages. Hopefully they will go through some sort of reform one day.

 

It's just hilarious when you think about it: a bunch of guys who dance holding hands and wearing dresses denounce homosexuality.

 

I'm shocked that people living in a theocracy would have such antiquated views. Good thing the west takes a strong stance on such things and refuses to have anything to do with Saudi Arabia...right?

 

I hate that country.

 

I detest that country and the other vile islamic states. I'm going to puke, this is so horrifying.

Christianity isn't a religion of peace either. There are lots of Christian countries where it's hard to be gay as well including mine.

 

Oh I'm not giving Christianity - or really any religion - a free pass. But don't tell me this anti-gay witch hunt isn't the result of their religion.

 

It's a result of their religion, culture, political climate...Saudi Arabia has been a one-family-ruled kingdom for most of modern history. It's one of the most conservative states in existence and it's unlike to change anytime soon.

I think it's safe to say that if they weren't putting so much money into the Western governments pockets, they'd be next on the hit-list.
