Better Trump than Cruz. That's for sure.

When is the final voting day for you guys? Like, not electing who represents democrats/republicans, but actually voting for a president?

I swear, your elections seem to be going on for forever. It's crazy :|

The first Tuesday after the first Monday of November every 4 years (every leap year, coincidentally). This year, it's November 8th. Primaries are a pretty important part of the election. The people get to decide who should represent their party, which is quite different from how other countries do it. Every State does their primaries a little differently.

In July or August (I think late July this year), the two major parties have their convention to officially declare their candidate for president.

It's even crazier living through it! I'm glad to not have tv just to dodge all the political ads!

No TV here, either. Well, I have one, to watch DVDs and things from Hulu (ad free version)but no cable. Mainly, for news, I glance over the NYT, The Washington Post, BBC...and nose in on Salon, Slate and Daily Kos for 'opinion'.

Sometimes I read Politico, but that whole thing has become like Tiger Beat on the Potomac.

Hard to say last time I saw TV news, or even watched a show with ads. I really hate ads.

I really noticed this a few years ago. The Giants were in the playoffs, so I had a reason to watch tv at some local watering holes. And the political ads were just crazy. The fact that I hadn't seen them made them seem even louder.

The scarier thing is that Trump has a 19.5 point lead over Cruz and Rubio here in Michigan, both of whom are tied for a distant second.
