Despite many polls showing Clinton leading by double digits before the Michigan primary, and Nate Silver estimating a 99% chance of Clinton winning, it has officially been projected that Sanders will win the state of Michigan for the Democratic primary.

I'm hoping he wins so the country can catch up with the times and give everyone the rights they deserve. I'd still rather be in Ontario, however.

Clinton still got more delegates than him last night :icon_wink she has over a 200-point lead over pledged delegates alone now.

I don't think you understand. He won in a state where Clinton was leading by double digits in the polls. This can really turn the race around. It's not a guarantee, but it's definitely not too late for him to catch up.

I do understand actually. Polls have proven to be incorrect in the past few weeks and as it is now, delegates are more and more crucial for the nomination as the weeks go by. Clinton still got more delegates than Sanders last night, even if it was an unexpected twist.

Unlike in the Republican side, the Democrats don't have a winner-take-all in the next few weeks - and that is crucial for Clinton who is taking a lot of delegates from Sanders even when he's winning. Plus there is also the issue of super-delegates, since the Establishment wants Hillary Clinton to win the nomination.

Roughly a 200 delegate lead and theres over 4000 delegates left. Just about all the southern states are done... the schedule now favors sanders, he has the momentum. Hillary has yet to win a blue northern state by more than 1.5 percentage points.

The key here was independents. Democrats here in Michigan voted 57% for Hillary according to the exit polls, and independents went had for Sanders. If you look at the map, it's counter-intuitive: Wayne County (Detroit), Genessee County (Flint), Oakland County (Where I'm from, mostly suburbs of Flint and Detroit)-the more liberal parts of the state-all went for Clinton. The rest of the state, even Livingston County, which is 70% Republican, went for Sanders.

As long as Donald Trump doesn't end up as president I literally don't give a shit about who you elect, just please not Donald XD

    Personally, I'd vote Sanders.

Sadly, even NPR agrees that Bernie would have to win all the next states for him to grab enough delegates to become the nominee. My hope is that the delegates will be split enough they will run on one ticket, although my wife does not think that will happen.

I'm rooting for both Bernie and Hillary, but slighty more with Hillary. Like a 52% - 48% divide.

And don't you want independent vote in a general election? Clinton may be better at drawing Democrat votes, but Democrats would probably vote for Sanders if given the option in the GE. Independents, however, are more reluctant to vote for Clinton.

Democrats will fall behind the democratic nominee, no matter who it is. To argue that sanders isnt a viable democratic candidate because he has mass support among independents (the actual largest party that people affiliate with) is unbelievable. Clinton supporters are trying to cling to any disparaging meme to discredit sanders' victories. Like saying the states that hes won are weird...smh... the only states that hillary has won by 2% or more are bible belt, southern states. Clinton just has no crossover appeal, not to mention shes one of the most, if not the most despised candidates to republicans. She wont be able to get anything done. Bernie has a history of reaching across the isle to get things done while at the same time maintaining his beliefs and getting republicans to reach to liberal ideals. The only thing hillary will be able to get done is getting her xl pipeline done that stretches across the united states biggest aquifer, passing trade agreements that kill american job, deporting children to hostile environments to send a message, and continued kissinger style issues.
