U.S. reverses decision, now supports UN proposal to decriminalize homosexuality

    You may remember a story this past winter about how the US refused to support a United Nations measure that would work to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide. The Middle-Eastern Islamic nations are the most well-known countries that still outlaw homosexuality, and it's no surprise that they opposed the measure, but the US turning it down was a bit strange.

    Well, that's over now, and we're officially in support of that proposal.

    YES.

    Finally. And while I don't mean to belittle the significance of this, if you think about it this not supporting this measure is a very petty thing to do. All it's doing is saying that homosexuality is not a crime. Why the hell wouldn't the US support the measure?

    Yes, this really seemed like a no-brainer. I can't imagine the U.S. not supporting this!

    now that we got the unchristain christian out of the white house...

    Progress wont happen overnight, but this is a step forward. we just need to keep making these steps forward.

    We went from having a president who only opens the bible when he needs to affirm his belief that god hate all belief but the ones he *bush* has. then he continues to ignore the teaching of christ, which was compassion, humanity, and love for all your fellow man, while he perpetuates the hate speech he learned when he found god after years of heavy drinking and illegal drug usage.
