Someone already said this, but I'm going to paraphrase it : Why wasn't this video called "Things Racist White People Are Too Afraid to Ask Black People?" I can't tell if this is Buzzfeed's pathetic, ignorant attempt at humour or if some people on the channel actually believe this tripe.

A prime example that racism is alive and well in modern day America. Why would anyone ask, let alone another black person, ask "If my dab is on fleek, I am lit?" It reeks of racist stereotypes.

No one complained when they had "White questions for White people" Jus sayin.

Also I love how people just give the black actors in this video a pass. No, they have to be held accountable too. They agreed to say these lines ( possibly even came up with them themselves ). They are just as complicit in the video as Buzzfeed.

I'm not giving anyone in this video a pass. The people who asked these questions are sellouts if you ask me.

And I don't understand how the fact that "no-one complained" is relevant.

Well I'm gonna leave it at this because I'm not supposed to be getting into debates/arguments on here.

My point with "no-one complained" that I'm just in general tired of the notion that we can generalize/say whatever we want about one group of people, but then turn around and get outraged when the same thing happens to another. It's annoying and they defend with something like "Well group X has all the power so it's okay" and it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how discrimination starts. We give an okay to generalizations and stereotypes and at first it's pretty tame, but it becomes more and more socially acceptable until it reaches a point where that group becomes actively discriminated against. It doesn't just happen overnight and so i fight against generalizations as a whole regardless of who they target.

    Buzzfeed...
    Sigh

Anyway, if a buzzfeed video is titled in the "Questions X group have for Y group people", it is and always is absolute crap, ok?

What is "dab?" "On fleek" means "awesome," I think, and "lit" means "drunk?

Can't keep up with the younger folks; I'm old lol.

This is one of the reasons I reject most "SJW" platforms. The idea that discrimination or hatred is okay as long as it's directed against the "dominant" demographic clashes with everything I believe, yet this is what I am supposed to believe if I agree with most "social justice" arguments. This, or the idea that discrimination against dominant groups simply doesn't exist or we shouldn't acknowledge its existence.

I'm not black, so I don't necessarily appreciate many of the references being made in this video. What I might want to see is a Hispanic/Mexican version of this and see how I feel. I doubt I would find it offensive or racist.

On fleek means 'on point', doesn't it? As in, your makeup is on fleek, or your outfit is on fleek. I've heard it on YouTube videos but never in real life.

Clearly, this is satire to jab at underrepresentation of black people and extra worries that blacks might get that white people are less likely to experience.

Actually, this is them trying to get the point across that these kinds of questions are racist. There's a deeper meaning in this video that I think many people are overlooking.

It's satire. It's meant to put forward an outrageous claim in order to raise awareness for it or make a statement (political statement).

Dab is a dance that....it's hard to describe.... It's like putting you face under your arm and quickly pulling it out.., a bit like sneezing, I've seen kids at my school do it a lot, mostly guys.

"Lit" just means something was great or amazing, eg: " yo, that party was lit!" "Yo, class was lit today, everyone was just making jokes!" And such statements.

On fleek means somethings near perfection, like " your eyebrows are on fleek"

You don't have to keep up with these, if it's too much, i don't even know most of them.

Actually, a youtuber I follow named Vernaclius made a sarcastic video responding to that.
