Well deserved. I'd prefer they changed the $10 too, personally.

I don't know much about Hamilton. Just out of curiosity, why do people want him removed?

I'd consider this a sufficient improvement.
Shocking though, the US doing something right?

A big step in history because not only will it be the first woman on money but it will also be the first black person which I think is a big move historically and think it's really great.

Pretty cool. I like it. Can't wait to see the new bills.

I will say that to those detractors that say "why change what isn't broke," U.S. currency gets completely overhauled almost every 10 years (not including the $1 bill). This is to help keep ahead of counterfeiters. Lots of time and resources goes into this very needed step. Changing the picture is the least of the troubles the Bureau of Engraving and Printing goes through. The latest $100 bills went through several years of printing errors because they couldn't get some security features right (and Ben Franking stayed on the bill). Changing the picture is not a big deal nor costs the taxpayer marginally much more than what the usual and customary costs of security updates (which might even fall under "national security" since the integrity of US currency is vital to the economic security of the nation).

I don't care for this much myself. I honestly don't see the big deal.

I'm so glad that they decided to keep Alexander Hamilton on the $10 (partly thanks to the Hamilton craze  ) however I'm still mad they're keeping the slaver and overall terrible person Andrew Jackson on the back of the $20, because he really should not be on there at all. I'd also like to see other women and people of color added more into the future as well.

Well, on one hand money is just money for me, it doesn't matter whose face is on it, as long as I can exchange it for good and services. And it is even less relevant now as we use a lot more digital transactions, which are just numbers.

On the other hand, images on a currency of a nation is a very symbolic thing, as it represent things that the nation consider important enough to use as their representation.

I love that Harriet Tubman will be on U.S Currency!!! She has always been one of my favorite historical figures. The only thing I would change though, is I would replace Ben Franklin as he was never a president. That's all. No big deal. But, YAY!!! Love this!!!

Well, you don't have to be a president to be no the bill. Ben Franklin was a very important man in his time. Regardless, it's nice to see Harriet Tubman getting her spot on a bill.

I'm excited about the change. Andrew Jackson, who will remain on the backside of the bill, historically hated the idea of a National Bank and remains one of the most divisive Presidents in US history. It will be interesting seeing two historically opposed individuals on the same bill.

    I'm happy with this decision.

I also think we need to change all the other bills, and we could even help pay off the debt by leasing them, as adverting space.

Imagine what McDonald's would pay to have have Ronald McDonald on the $1 bill? Or what Disney might pay to have Mickey Mouse on the $5?

Still really damn annoying that they're keeping Jackson on the other side.

I agreed with everyone that said they didn't want Jackson on the back. That's just fucking dumb. Why would you put a slave owner and an abolitionist on the same bill?

That aside, pretty excited to see the first female POC on the 20 bill.
