This is the last straw for me with her honestly. I'm not just going to refuse to vote, I'm going to vote Trump just to give her the finger.

Well it's looking like my choices are A.) The evil I can see or B.) The evil I can't see.

I feel safer with the evil I can see and that's Trump.

What's interesting is Facebook seems to react to any group that gets pissy, as long as the side of that group is over 20.

This is the same Facebook that banned trans people and then had to go "oops, our bad; we were mostly white heterosexuals who think that real name policies stop bullying, and we don't care if this hurts anyone. But we made the news, so we'll stop now."

This is the same Facebook that recently suspended a user for saying "Cathy Brennan is a fake goth."

You can't be serious. :frowning2: I understand you're angry, and rightly so. But Trump is supported by people who want to kill us, and that's not even an exaggeration.

I'm not surprised. Of course Hillary is a cutthroat. Neither she nor Trump are figureheads I need to support.

There's a reason the #BernieorBust hashtag has floated around the internet.

In the next few weeks Trump is going to turn his back on everyone supporting him right now. He was just using them to sweep through the Republican Primaries. He's also come out in favor on Trans rights and as far as I know he's LGBT friendly.

His followers will hate us whether he wins or lose, but Trump in office isn't going to actively do anything agaist the LGBT community. What Trump is going to do in office ( if you ask me ) will be push really hard for policies that benefit the top 1% ( because that benefits him ) and beyond that he'll probably just differ to what the people he puts in his cabinet say he ought to do.

The one potential positive to Trump ( and I use potential strongly here ) is that he's not just going to fill his cabinet with people he owes party favors to like Obama did and Bush did. If he happens to have at least a handful of brain cells he's going to put people in his cabinet with backgrounds that make sense for the positions.

My only real issue right now is I have no strong sense of where Trump actually stands on the issues. I know everything he said in the primaries was him playing a character, and during the general he's probably going to be lying as well. So it's hard to say with any certainty what he'll do. He's a bit of a wild card.

In that regard I guess Clinton would be safer because under her we'd get an extended Obama presidency only with 50% more war in the middle east.

Speaking of which. Did anyone catch that underhanded little tactic Trump used in his victory speech?

He said that Bernie got a bad deal and should run as an independent. X3

Of course Trump doesn't actually care, he just wants to divide the left in the general because that makes his chances better.

He is not consistently LGBTQ+ friendly. Only when the politician is consistent in their stance can you logically expect they will not turn on you. I expect him to stab us all in the back if he becomes president.

A Trump president would be so bad that it has its benefits in the long run. Before things will get better, they need to get much worse, so people can finally realize the importance of improving the system. I wouldn't vote for Trump for the sake of voting against Clinton, I think a reason to vote for him is to mess things up so much that the 2 parties lose power and we can start focusing on real issues. With Clinton, you'd get 4-8 more years of the same shit. Nothing changes. With Trump, you'd get people rallied up enough for some real reform.

Plus, I'm having a hard time believing he's even a Republican-- or that he even believes what he says. He's quite weird when you actually look at his policy. He saw his chance with immigrant and came up with a wall. He uses the media to get attention. And actually, he's gotten so much free media attention that it's equivalent to (and the math was actually done for this) almost $2 billion dollar in ads. Yes, the media gave him so much attention that it's like $2 billion worth of ads. Trump is a master at campaigning, and I have to give him that. If he was his genuine self, I doubt he'd be where he is today (same with Clinton).

As for the Supreme Court vacancy, it probably won't get any more conservative than it was before February. It might be a loss we'd have to take for the sake of making real change.

Sounds like the Jimmy Dore argument.

With Trump as president the house would flip in 2 years and 4 years we'd have a progressive in the white house.

I agree about Trump. I'm not sure what he really thinks.

I just listened to him explain accurately why our current foreign policy is so bad. He even explained about how Iraq created a power vacuum which ISIS filled. I mean he went on to give his "solution" which was terrible and stupid, but it showed that he's not completely unaware of what's going on in the world which makes me wonder what he really plans to do vs. what he's saying.

You know as sad as it is I kind of agree and have thought about this. It might be too soon for real change in America but after a Trump presidency...

You are assuming that the situation will get worse and not horrifying. Does anyone remember all the things that bad leaders did and caused before their country kicked them out of office and/or radically reformed itself? Or their country got reformed by an outside party? Willful ignorance of the full repercussions of this is a bad idea, especially considering what ignorance has done to countries before.

Commander and Chief, veto power, and political sway in Trump's hands? The worst case scenarios of what Trump would do as POTUS are possible and terrifying.

The notion that getting a terrible leader now because it is sure to incite change later is not logical.

You know, I'm about tired of people believing conspiracy theories and satire news sites as reality. This is the problem with politics in general these days, is that so many people think that everything they read online must be true and so it's now hard to tell satire from serious news.

I am so sick of Hilary. She is so full of shit. I am amazed that she has any supporters left at this point. Is it because she's more electable than Sanders? I tend to be pushed to believe that it's just because she's a woman, but the very idea pisses me off so much that I don't even want think about. Seriously, I can hardl find anone who can actually justify voting for Clinton. And if your voting for her because she's a woman, your a bigoted asshole.

You're gonna need to elaborate a bit here.

    ---------- Post added 28th Apr 2016 at 11:03 PM ----------

Hilary Clinton played the "Vote for me because I'm a woman" card pretty early in the game, and tried to paint the Bernie crowd as 'sexist' pretty much the whole way. She knows she can't beat Sanders on policy so the strategy she employed was to use the Sandy Hook massacre for her personal gain and to paint Sanders supporters as sexist. Both of these things requiring her to disregard all reality of course. Still truth doesn't matter in politics which is why she's winning.

I've seen firsthand some of the Bernie groups I'm in on FB that were taken down because people (whom I'm assuming were for Hillary) would find illegal pornographic pictures and post it within the groups. I don't think this is as much of a conspiracy as you think it is. I get that people may support Hillary more than Bernie and you're entitled to that opinion, but don't do stuff like that to mess with Bernie's groups on social media because it just looks bad for the entire Democratic Party.
