Oxford, Alabama :bang: ...google it, tweet it, etc. Police are ready to protect their citizens from the malicious 64 (aka all the transpeople of Oxford 2010 Census) of Oxford and the Police Chief released a statement of what to do if you see one of these malicious 64 in their restrooms (pretty much be vigilant and have your phone ready to catch the trans devils so they can rot in jail for 6 months legally....that'll teach them to stop being who they are).:***: :***: This one's worse than the NC law not full scope LGBT wise but trans wise.
This whole law there is absolutely insane. I hope that somebody challenges it and it gets overturned sometime soon.
And this state is right next to the one I currently live in (not that Georgia is good either when it comes to LGBT issues)
I just watched a film on the Freedom Riders. And as I was watching, I was thinking about the parallels. Same part of the country, same sort of bigotry, same unfounded fears. Do these people never learn anything?
It is deeply engrained in the culture. Bigotry is great for a certain type of person to gain power. Give people someone to hate, and they won't notice that you're robbing them blind.
