    HOLY....WTF!

This is serious...he's now in a position where by just running for president he's putting us at a major risk for massive inflation and recession.

    America is screwed.

    He's unimaginably incompetent sometimes.

Hm. Not to downplay this, but I'm not sure the President has the power to unilaterally default on the debt or declare bankruptcy. I would think that either would require Congress to cooperate with the process. Admittedly, the act of a President making statements along those lines probably wouldn't be helpful to global markets.

More to the point, how have/did global markets react to Trump's statements? If they don't really react, then I'm inclined to think that the arcane world of finance either doesn't believe he would actually do this or doesn't what he said to mean what everyone else outside their world is thinking he said. If they do react negatively, or start to make noise as the campaign progresses - that could be more problematic.

The fact that he's even talking like this shows he doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything as long as he personally comes out ahead. Voting for either him or Hillary shows just how badly the system is skewed against the people. Unless Bernie wins I'll consider it a devastating loss for everyone.

And haven't there been rumors about Clinton possibly being indicted too?

    Called it.

I said this before, but he says he'll "treat the country like his business", I don't think that's a good statement coming from someone who's went bankrupt several times over even after inheriting millions.

Now it's not only on accident, but on purpose too? Wonder if even the fundies are crazy enough to vote for him now. It's not even worth the "I told you so" if they do.

    (Bernie, please save us)

His supporters be thinking that Trump's a good leader because he owns 515 companies.

As other nations plan for their budget for the next few years, America's planning for its last.

I think he wants to default on our sovereign debt and then say to our creditors "let's make a deal, we'll give y'all 50 cents on the dollar" and boom our national debt gets cut in half. Then he strolls in front of national TV and says he's a "deal maker."

Please let this not be what he's saying he'd do. Our credibility, national security, economy, and creditworthiness would be in the toilet, and we'd end up wiping ourselves with dollars because they would be cheaper than toilet paper.

That's probably exactly what his idea is here.

He doesn't understand economics, he understands business. They aren't the same thing, and the rules are different.

I hope he realizes that Social Security is one of the biggest holders of US public debt. Not that I agree with how surplus social security money went to buy US debt, but he would be delusional on a scale that's unimaginable.

...uh, so everyone else has done it by accident?

No, not a Trump supporter (on a gay bulletin board, you have to be kidding). If I have my choice, I go for Sanders. Maybe he'd do it by accident, too.

    Like I suspected.

Now's the time to sit back and watch the Republican party be decimated by a business mogul who lacks political experience and is at the center of media attention for all his outrageous claims. Let's not forget the fact that he basically beat the establishment and can do whatever he wants to the party, which I highly doubt he is loyal to.

There was a simpsons episode a long time before trump ran for president about how he would run for president, become president, and then make America bankrupt.

And look at what he just said! :l
