Why can't it be up to the individual stores? So a sign that allows trans people to go the bathroom of their gender says ''this store allows transgender people to go to the bathroom they identify with, if you don't like this then please go to the nearest store located :XYZ'' and then another that allows people to only go to the bathroom of their sex ''this store allows people to go to the bathroom of their sex only, if you don't like this then please go to the nearest store: XYZ'' or something, then there won't be (hopefully) any protest as they can just go to the nearest store.

I mean, Target has said they're allowing trans people to go to the bathroom of their gender, there are plenty of other bathrooms that these people can use. Don't see their need to complain when they can go elsewhere. Seems like they're just making an argument. [Don't get me wrong, arguments, or rather debates, for the sake of it can be fun, but a full on protest are loud and annoying ... this is just me].

I get the argument to protect people against *possible* abusers but this goes both ways for trans and cis people. If we want to protect everyone then there needs to be access for bathrooms who want it for gender, and then access for bathrooms for people who want it for sex. And I'd like to know if I can use a disabled toilet, or make a gender neutral one, at least at large complexes.

Not watched the video, just had a lot to say on the topic since the last bathroom-bill was posted. Please note I'm speaking from the UK, so my opinions might not translate to the US.

There's probably something to critique from this, go ahead.

The thing that baffles me is that manyou stores have this policy. It's not just a target thing. Target is just getting the heat because they have been more public about it.

    I protest your protest!

No, seriously. A couple of friends from an LGBT group did just that a few weeks ago. Supposedly, their group was larger, and they even got a few folks from the other side to join them.

Ok so how abundant is Target? It's not like the whole population in a city go to Target to use the "facilities" when in public is it? LOL. How often to people even have to pee when they go to a mall or store? Me, rarely.
