Well, Egypt was experiencing high rate of falling meteorites back in the day, so not that surprising.

Iron from the sky, I think it's what they call it.

Weapons made from meteorite has always been seen as highly prestigious pretty much wherever you went. Can't say I'd mind having one myself, even if it only was a dagger.

...Huh. He didn't just predict the future, he predicted Terraria. [IMG]

Jokes aside... Pretty neat, I'd say! They discovered the dagger before the forge.

I think they already had forges otherwise they wouldn't be able to shape the dagger so.
I'm not an historian but they probably had discovered iron-working in egypt, I remember seeing a sickle in one of their gods depictions and a sickle is made of iron

A sickle can be made from any metal with a lower melting temperature than iron. It took a while to achieve iron working because people didn't know how to achieve temperatures high enough to extract iron ore and work with it, but meteorite iron has the property of having a lower melting temperature and as such was easier to work with. Meteorite used to be a truly mythical material simply because it was iron before its time.
