According to this outdated study, egg cells have been fertilized sans sperm.
In addition, it appears that sperm can be produced from a bone marrow stem cell.

There's a lot of studies like this. I believe I saw one where an egg cell was successfully turned into a sperm cell.

What you are referring to is an old study from 2001. They do use this procedure in dumpinglike genetic material into an ovum to clone. In reference to the Japanese study of turning eggs and sperm from primordial stem cells, they did this to see if sterile mice could be able to reproduce, that was between 25-33% successful. The offspring of that coupling were function able and able to reproduce but the next generation was shown to have an abnormally high rate of birth defects. It was also attempted in 2014 to take two sperm cells and try to make one mimic an ovum, it was very unsuccessful with nothing but a blob of genetic material. My first masters degree is in genetic engineering 2nd was in physics

I am indeed referring to that; the results of the study were published prior to my birth!

Well, it just goes to show that, while Science always seems to have limits, the more we research, the less limited things become because of Science... I've heard of these before, but yeah, I wish we'd put more money into stem cell research. :/ There's so much we could do...

Put money into lifesaving cures rather than weapons of war, Trump towers, and tax exemption for the religious? How absurd!

Thankfully that was sarcasm, I'm glad I'm not like my dad.

I am definitely in agreement with you and Kira, but some moral issues may arise from the perspective of others.

I've read quiet a bit of documented cases of this, but it's more of a theory, it can be done however, a healthy female child can come from this, but you risk other complications and chromosome anomalies such as XXX (Trisomy X) and X (Turner's Syndrome)
