    I salute the man. That's hard to do when fasting. I hope everyone going to pride shows positive messages toward the Muslim community. Though we grieve, now is their time, too.

    A lovely gesture, but medically negligent of the donation crew to let him donate. Surprised they allowed it.

    Fasting in the manner done in Ramadan is dangerous in itself (abstaining from food isn't usually a problem, but not drinking is awful for the body). After giving blood you need glucose and fluid especially. So to donate during Ramadan is almost self-harm.

    It would be like taking a donation of someone who has just spent an hour in a sauna, or ran a marathon. Not the best idea.

    Perhaps not but in his mind he had to make up for the actions that a member of his religion did, and he saw this sacrifice as a way to start.

    As much as I would love to go I have not the money nor the ride to go
