And something is seriously inhuman about them. Protesting the Orlando shooting, but also the Sandy Hook? And a tornado? I'm glad people with actual hearts and conscience were able to block the hate.

Freedom of speech. People are allowed to protest just about anything as long as it doesn't get violent.

I think there's should be a line drawn, though. This kind of stuff isn't even protesting--it's straight up harassment. Protests are supposed to be about voicing a strong disapproval of something, but they're really just straight up insulting people.

They should also REALLY consider the circumstances when handing out these permits too; maybe a funeral is neither the time nor the place for any form of protest.

That's true actually I don't think Fred Phelps had a funeral. Whatever he was in the closet for 84 years and instead of deciding to come out he had a million children and started a religion that hates gays but it was probably all just a cover up since the old bastard couldn't accept himself. What a shame.

I agree. The last year, I've done a lot of soul searching and have expanded my agnosticism. These days I believe that whether you believe wholeheartedly in a religion or wholeheartedly that religions are 100% bogus, you're equally narrow minded either way.

These days I keep an open mind to everything--even though I still think science is the most likely right answer--and find that most creeds have their good sides and ideals, most of them preach about peace and love, for example--it's just a shame that humanity uses it as an excuse to hate and/or close their minds more often than not

But Westboro Baptist Church....... That group is evil. Just pure, unadulterated evil. A creed like theirs will never result in anything good, whether it be in this life or any life that might come after it.

These guys....I don't know what to make of them anymore. They're a bunch of bigots with nothing else to do besides troll.

I can't really take them as seriously these days.

 

I saw that they went to that guy's funeral and was furious, even though there were so many awesome people to come out and block them from the view of those attending. I wish I could have been there. They are some of the most vile people on this planet and it's really too bad they can't be arrested.

Someone said the funniest thing on the tweet of a gay YouTuber I watch. She asked what she should do with her old underwear and someone responded to donate it to the WBC. I LOL-ed for days just thinking about the idea of it.
