I think that it's great that so many students helped to make the WBC people look ridiculous by using their kinds of arguments. Nothing is more humbling or effective than watching your own logic get turned against you.

 

You know something?

When Fox News goes out of their way to make a religous chirstian organization look bad during live interviews *i dont consider them a church, they dont act like one*, then you know they are truly truly bad. Fox News prides itself on being this neo con outlet, and the neo cons tend to be pro chirstanity and what they consider *but what christ wouldn't* chirstian views. They constantly go on about chirstian values, and anti gay rights values being good for america, but there was a video of a Fox News anchor locking into a bible quote fight with Sally phelps, and winning.

I dont know if it is still up on youtube, but every one of sally phelp's quotes were taking out of context, or were rejected by christ in his teaching and ministry while he was alive.

I was rooting Fox News on that day.

 

You know, I've always been pretty passive, content to stand by and monitor the goings-on in our struggle for equality and understanding... but it the WBC ever shows up in Sacramento (esp. with the Prop 8 hearings and pending outcome in the works), I will just HAVE to make the most fabulous signs to wave. Oh, and I will bring my boyfriend and show them the GRANDEST display of "gay PDA" they've ever seen!!!!!!

lol....I'm such a loser. Im not from America so WBC isnt an abbreviation Im familiar with. When I first read the title of this thread the first thing I thought was:
"WBC??? What the hell does someone's White Blood Cell count have to do with this?"
(OK I deal with blood results at work every day so shows what my brain is thinking about!) lol
