I like queer, because it's a funny sounding word xD, and because it isn't as long as homosexual, and hasn't been abused nearly as much as gay has.

I vote for being called a human being

I think that society gets too hung up on labeling a group of people.

I like the term "queer" because it doesn't necessarily mean 100% gay (even though most people think it does..) because I like to think there's some wiggle room in my sexuality.
as I write on my facebook "I don't really know if I'm gay or bisexual, I mean, if you're hot and we both like each other, I'll date you! *winkwink* But seriously, I'm pretty flaming..."

    I voted for gay.

I don't really focus that much on labels though.

    Why isn't Bi on here?

  9. Probably queer. One thing I've learned is I really cannot label my sexuality so that seems the best word.

Im sorry got not adding in Bi :x That would most likely just be "Gay/Lesbian/Bi" then

And i was more wondering what word you use in everyday convo when your sexuality comes up. Not wondering if you like being labeled gay or anything, but if you had to use a word to describe your being homosexual, what would it be.

If I were to say it just like "Oh yeah I'm (a) ____" It's either, "yeah sure, I'm gay", or "Yeah, uh huh, I'm just one big HOMO".

It depends on context and mood for me. But I think gay's the best option.

I like being called gay but when I talk about non-heterosexual people collectively I definitely use "queer." I don't like being called "a queer" anymore than I do being called "a gay" but I don't mind being called "queer" (as in "a queer guy," "a queer man," etc.).

One day someone needs to do a study on how lesbian is used much more as a noun and that is generally seen as acceptable but gay is used much more as an adjective and using it as a noun is seen as kinda gauche.

Why not normal? It's easy, accurate, and generic--like my sexuality should be.

Either queer or gay. I hate, hate, HATE the word 'lesbian', and homo sounds like a 12 year old is using it to insult you.

Whatever works. I'm not out to enough people publicly to be getting personal labels yet, but it does kind of bother me when articles or books refer to "the homosexuals" ALL THE TIME like we're some kind of species classification.

I like homo in the Latin sense of the word (human) more than homo in the Greek sense of the word (same). But if I have to have a label, but would be gay.
