    I hope the kid will be okay, because this is fucked up. It's like those parents who kill their kids and say god told them to do it.

    Or the ones that don't take their kids to the doctors, and then cry "faith healing!" after they die/get very sick. I don't care if you're religious, but there's a limit to following teachings - and abusing your kid because "religious freedome!" is way past that point.

    I hope the kid's okay...

    There's a state (I think Idaho) where a parent can actually get away with refusing to take their child to a doctor/hospital and letting him/her die or get severely injured on the basis that the parent tried faith healing instead.
