I knew this all along. He doesn't mind the LGBTQ community. His VP might, but it's not his call. Trump is a douche when it comes to certain things. But I believe he is good for other things.

This is great news. I might give Donald Trump a chance.

For now, while the pressure is on, he won't revoke this.

Anyone who thinks that enforcement under a republican administration vs a democratic administration is engaging in serious self-delusion.

Frankly, I don't care about this and don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. His cabinet is anti-LGBT and there's no way any pro-LGBT legislation will pass during his time in office. This is a small step toward making LGBT people forget that we still have to stand up for other people's rights. Plus there are non-white LGBT people.

He came for the disabled, the women, the Immigrants, the Muslims, the poor, the Native Americans, the refugees... And he said meh I guess the gays are ok.. But I say fuck Trump. I am not accepting his BS offer to the LGBT community until he starts treating all people like humans. We only win by uniting together.

You might want to reconsider this based on the EO's he has signed in his first week in office and the silencing of the media and firing anyone who disagrees with him.

While people had said to give him a chance but the thing is there's going to be things I know I'll disagree with. Although when it comes to the LGBT community, at times I've wonder about him but at the same time I know that it's not so much Trump that worries me it's Pence that scares me when it comes to LGBT protections.

Honestly, with Bannon and Pence in there, I don't think we can take anything at face value. I read a very well thought out article by a Boston University history professor analyzing the Trump administration's pattern, and comparing it with past efforts to destabilize political systems. According to her, Bannon's actions (he's basically the puppeteer) are textbook classic.

So, in a nutshell, the no-notice Muslim ban was intended to throw chaos and disturb progressives, destabilizing people. It's quite possible that this maneuver could be an attempt (though a less egregious one) to do the same to the right.

Trump's Supreme nominee is expected to be aggressively anti-gay, and if you look at his cabinet as well as his Supreme nominee short lists, both look like they were hand-picked by Pence and Bannon, which they likely were. And these people are nutjobs.

While Trump himself might not really give a crap about gay people one way or the other, and inclined to let things just stay as is... Bannon and Pence have no such "live and let live" attitude.

In short, while I think we can cautiously look at this as at least a temporary positive, I also believe it could be part of a larger strategy that isn't to our interest (or to much of anyone else's unless you happen to be a bigot who doesn't care that Trump is literally looting the country as we speak.)

Trump's words don't mean shit to me. He's lost all credibility. I also won't support him because he "supports" the LGBT community. He doesn't care about any other group in America. The only good news would be if Trump resigns.

And Trump's Supreme Court nominee is, predictably, a disaster on lgbt issues.

And have Pence instead? That would be even worse.

As we've said multiple times, it's not Trump himself we worry about, it's his cabinet members, and primarily his Supreme Court nominee.

    Good. Discrimination is un-American.
