LGBT News Drunk gay basher yells "this is Trump Country" to couple

"A drunken scooter rider..." In other words, a closeted homosexual that wants to feel "powerful" by aligning himself as a "Republican."

Trump and his supporters are currently what's wrong with America.
They elected a Bigot and think that justifies them to act even worse.

 

It seems it's only the beginning.

I'd really like for time to prove me wrong. But the direction we're heading...

Trump is a symptom of the problem; Trump supporters have been a silent "majority" for a while--now they have their voice. It's disappointing that the number of people who think this way sometimes seems to be increasing, but I ultimately believe that it is not. They are just making a larger scene now that they have an administration that apparently sympathizes with them.

 

But people still insist he's a good person and an ally for our community. Bullshit. Just like how he hasn't done shit about the rise in Jewish hate crimes done in his name either.

 

If in America , or outside of America, is there not something we can do? The internet connects people. Like point out the jewish hate crime fact..with more means?...because most racist people are Christian right? They should really want to protect the jews?

Is there nothing we can do ? The sooner the better?

What evidence do you have that President Trump is calling for a racial divide among Americans? Granted he has made statements that can be considered 'racist' at times. But so did President Obama. Does Obama get 'a pass' because he is black and Trump is condemned because he is white?

President Trump was elected primarily because of the backlash of mainstream America to the elitist Liberal agenda of the Democratic party, which is out of touch with the people. It's not that most American's want someone like President Trump as the leader of our country, it's that most people did NOT want four+ more years of a socialist like Obama who was destroying the fabric of our country at the helm.

Throughout history, whenever you have extreme points of view in power, you end up having completely opposite extremes that ultimately come to power.

Nobody is right. Nobody it wrong, but the best way to minimize the extreme fluctuations, which usually resolve themselves to a centrist point of view over time (because people are people), is to work with the current government and just try to modify their policies to the best of your ability.

As an American I can tell you it gave me mixed feelings too. I always try to see things from "both sides" of the aisle whenever I can. Honestly I don't hate Trump. Everyone already knows what he's doing wrong (there's some stuff in this video that frankly it's a little disturbing to see so many people standing up and applauding) so I try to look for what he does right. I was glad to see a condemnation of things like hate vandalism, beatings, murder. Even if it was just read off a teleprompter

 

Yeah I thought to, thats not his speech...and the applauding was annoying and very very strange. Even if you are excited about it.. maybe thats just me.

I kind of assumed its an tradition or something to applaud at everything the new president says. As you can see my knowledge on American politics is very limited, but I keep learning.


But the things you mention about evil and whatnot , did feel good to hear. But then again, what is sincere...it is just so hard to measure.

 

Letting people who are different than you live w/o harassment is considered PC by people like this guy. Trump and the gop denounce being PC and have emboldened people like this asshole to be and non-PC as possible. This is the great america that trump's people wanted. Keep the "others" in their place.

 

My interpretation of being PC means telling others to change and suit your holier-than-thou liberal sensibilities rather than letting them be. From that perspective I side with non-PC. These acts of harassment and violence I'm not OK with, that's the opposite of live and let live. I think people that act that way have far more wrong with them than being "non-PC," they clearly want to go out of their way to impose themselves on other people to terrible degrees.

 

For the first time he sounded like a President. His agenda is slightly more Democrat than Republican.

Of course he read the teleprompter, and he didn't write the speech. Obama was struck mute without a teleprompter; every president has speech writers on staff. There are plenty of things about which to criticize Trump. Reading a teleprompter isn't one of them.

I was gay-bashed in high school in the 1960s, while I still identified as completely heterosexual. I was nerdy, I wore glasses and wasn't interested in sports. I was on the basketball team, but that was to keep the players eligible with tutoring in everything but shop. The team found a basher haranguing me, and a crowd of nineteen-feet tall men convinced the basher to leave me alone. Thirty years later he and I encountered one another at O'Hare Airport. He apologized to me, and said that after three unsuccessful marriages he figured out he was gay.

I was physically attacked during civil rights marches, and when I dated a black woman I was ostracized. A single drunk isn't even a blip on my radar.

Trump was elected because Democrats had been treating white heterosexual males as the enemy for decades. They ignored blacks and Hispanics, assuming their votes were automatic. They said the right words about minorities, but their actions were harmful. If it wasn't on either coast it didn't matter. If you want to represent America, that includes drunks on scooters and sharpshooters assassinating white police officers. And no large segment of America is the enemy. People's lives are important, even if they don't live within smelling distance of salt water.

I did not vote for Trump, but supported Johnson the Libertarian. As much as I'm displeased about it, he is my president, and I intend to do what I can to help him succeed on behalf of the country.

 

It's sad to think some people are so homophobic.
