I heard this story recently too. And I thought I was late when I came out at 51. Good for him!

I hid the truth for what... 17 years? And that honestly felt like eons. I can't imagine.

It's got to be pretty great to get such a weight off the chest. :icon_wink

man, it's sad because I feel like this guy has a regret he would have to live with for the rest of his life, knowing that he could've had a chance to be happy with a man if he only took the chance. He seems like he's at peace with his life, but he's constantly asking himself if it was worth it. I think that itself, is the reason why coming out of the closet has such an importance in our life.

That's adorable and amazing. Also a bit sad though, if you think about living 90 years hiding something that big.

This is cool and I'm happy for him. I was a little confused that, if i understood it right, he's still married to his wife but talks about finding a boyfriend. Maybe she's cool with him being with a guy if it happens and they'd remain married. Good for them whatever happens if they're happy.

It's nice that he has come to this realization before death, but I feel that it's pretty sad he didn't come to this conclusion sooner. Like, my grandparents all died before they reached his age (I do have a 91 year old grandmother still alive, but I really doubt she'll live to 95).

It makes me happy to see that he was able to get that off his chest, it's hard to carry around that weight all the time. The load is much lighter when you can finally be who you really are. Really happy for him.

I doubt that being gay has recently become a part of his life, he probably had that on his mid for so many years. Better late than never I suppose, still good for him though

Sad and moving. I'm really glad he did come out, maybe makes some of the older folks realize that it's not today's media turning kids gay, but that you are born the way you are.
