I don't quite understands how this article relates to ending the stigma but it's an interesting read.

I've heard about this on the radio. It reduces the treatment to one tablet a day and drastically increases the life expectancy of the sufferer. It's great news!

This is great progress and positive news for those already with HIV but what worries me is that these kinds of stories result in some people taking HIV less seriously. Together with incredibly poor sexual health education and social stigma/taboo, it may result in people taking more risks and a rise in new cases of HIV.

My view is that we all have a responsibility to talk more openly about sex and sexual health to remove the taboo. Reminding a mate about wearing a condom shouldn't be any more weird than telling them to put sun cream on at the beach. If someone asks you about your sexual health/history, you shouldn't take offence, you should see it as a sign of a responsible partner.

One way or another, through small changes in our views and behaviours, we can all play a part in putting an end to HIV - and hopefully all the other STI's too!
