    What happened to these guys is one thing that I fear about meeting a guy from such an app. Is that unreasonable? Anyone else feel that way? I guess someone you meet at a bar or group could turn out to be a psycho too.

    I hope they get long sentences.

    And I guess if you meet someone online you may not get to see their body language. So it increases the chance of them being a creep. But I definitely wouldn't meet anyone at my house if I'd never met them either!!

    They better get life.

    If anyone uses the apps, please be careful. I highly recommend looking into your county laws for concealed weapons, and to make sure you have protection with you; even if it's just pepper spray or mace.

    I've been reading The Velvet Rage and it talks a lot about guys who have a lot of random sex and I keep thinking how can guys do that so easily and not fear for their safety. It's all so foreign to me. Besides the safety factor, how do guys so easily find an acceptable hookup to be enjoyable? It seems that my trust of others and criteria for guys I find appealing must be way off the chart or normal. :frowning2:

    For anyone using such apps, be careful. Always meet at a public place unless you know the person is safe (like you know from a friend of a friend of a friend).

    As a curiosity, I wonder what the profiles were like. I think it would say a lot about our culture, too. It's just so sad all around. :frowning2: Poor guy, trying to have fun... :frowning2:

    They were likely taught their whole life that gay people are disgusting and sinful and deserve to be beaten and or killed. They heard this from their family, church, politicians, friends, etc. Fortunately most people who hear this same message don't act on their stupidity and hatred.
