Hopefully it is passed by the Senate!

Haha, personally, I don't consider New York part of New England, just the Northeast, but that is awesome, New York is a significant state to pass legislation like this

New York is not part of New England. NY is part of the Northeast.

Yes that is very exciting news, hopefully the big margin will put pressure on the Senators to vote for it by the end of session NY and NH are almost sure deals if things fall into line, then its off to NJ.

Yeah Paterson will definitely sign it if it gets to him -- supposedly they're four votes short in the senate right now, but the pressure is definitely on thanks to VT, ME, and NH. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Even if it takes NY another legislative session though, how awesome have the past couple months been? We've gone from two states to five in a couple months, and the tide has definitely turned. =)

Whip Count: Gay Marriage Faces Uphill Odds in New York Senate

Nate thinks there is only a 1/3 chance that we can get the votes we need. If you live in NY, contact your state senator (especially if they are undecided) and ask them to support marriage equality. A large population state like NY would be another huge step.

The Senators will face tough reelection if they don't support this...I'll personally make sure of it.
