Sims 3 and Gay Marriage

I'm not used to making "news" threads, but here goes :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :

The famous series The Sims is coming out with the third version of the game sometime this summer (I forget the date xD), and recently a release candidate was leaked into the torrenting market (torrenting allows for cross-system uploading and downloading shared between "seeders", the people who are uploading, and "leechers", or the people who are downloading). From what I have seen, The Sims 3 allows for gay couples to marry  .

In my version of The Sims 2, they would only allow a partnership. I can post some screenshots that I have seen when I get back home tomorrow onto my desktop (on my laptop right now).

I thought this was worthy of a thread since, even while small, progress is progress  .

If you don't know what The Sims is, it is basically a game where you can do anything, anytime, anywhere. You run people's live, build their houses, and control them. You are able to create your own families, and your own neighborhoods. The new Sims game is so different because, unlike the other versions of The Sims, you are allowed to go anywhere in the neighborhood w/o loading screens and people go on as normal while you play as a family doing this.

    It's quite amazing actually.

Thats actually quite the big deal!

Think about it, who plays these games? young people!

If we have small things like gay people in there video games that is bound to show them that its a normal part of life and nothing scary. It should atleast counter some of the WBC heh.

I love The Sims and I can't wait for Sims 3 to come out. This is really awesome to hear even though I never had any gay couples in Sims 2... That was before I realized I was gay myself. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I have to admit that the Sims 3 looks very good  . One of the things that is small, but huge to me is the fact that you can now ANGLE your furniture xD . There was a boolProp cheat for this in the Sims 2, but it was annoying to have to do.

And for any of you who play the Sims 2, and don't know the "boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true" cheat, you're missing out xD . It allows you to freely edit your sims moods (and attributes like hygiene and energy and fun) as well as be able to give your sim any job level and all kinds of other fun things :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: .

Don't forget old people! My mom never plays any games with one exception. The Sims! I'm sure there are a lot of other parents who play the Sims games.

I think this will be good for all sorts of age groups.

Look into the screen...Look into the screen....no where around the screen, just straight into it......on the count of three you will wholeheartedly support gay marriage just as your beloved Sims do....1...2...3
    Voila!

If only they kept their promise on the sims 3. they said it would be playable on older computers... what they didnt tell you was that old was the computers readily avalible 6 months ago when they were considered good my computer which was top of the line a two years ago is too old and too slow to play it.

Mannnn and after all that money I spent on Sims 2.

I am gonna have to get Sims 3, though. I was really pleased with the jump in playability from the original Sims to Sims 2, so I'm betting Sims 3 is gonna be bitchin' awesome!
