Nghhh. I really wanna know, but I kind of... don't wanna know at the same time. D:

Have they already decided and just aren't gonna say what they decided until Tuesday? Politics confuse me.

Re: Prop 8 ruling on Tuesday...

I'm torn on the issue. I don't want them to uphold it, but at the same time I think it would be amazing if it was knocked down in a 2010 referendum. Opponents really wouldn't have any leg to stand on then, whereas if it's overturned on Tuesday then they're going to accuse the courts of enforcing laws against the citizens will. But even then, I don't think it's fair that some couples should have to wait until 2010 before they have a chance of being married.

Grr, mega torn on the issueeeee.

Keep your fingers crossed everybody! By the way, I got an e-mail about a possible National Gay rights march in Washington, DC in October. Wouldn't that be AMAZING?

Will there be a live video feed for this like there was when the oral arguments were being presented to the judges?

awww, tuesdays are my hard days classe wise. busy all day from morning till night.

For the people who had a chance to watch the live feed, werent most of the arguments for keeping prop 8 from religious groups promoting their religious views to the court?

I dont remeber, but I heard most of the arguements against gay marriage were religiously based, or easy to counter.

Hopefully they rule against Prop 8. If they allow it to stand, I don't know how they will be able to reconcile it with the equal protection language in the California Constitution.

I still have, somewhere, my t-shirt from the 1994 March on Washington for gay and lesbian rights. As far as I know, that was the last time there was a major gay rights march in DC. It would be nice, 15 years later, to have another one
