I fear it won't. The community was prepping to get a bill through in 2010, but the Gov. decided to through one in too early. I don't know if we have the support in the Senate.
I dont know i think they will pass it new york seems like one fo those places with so many different cultures living in one city it seems like a place that would pass gay marriage
NY will definately pass gay marriage, by not passing it they are risking giving the impression of a backwards state which america wont like and so will pile the pressure onto the NY state senate thus allowing marraige for gays.
I really think it will. Even though it's been two years since it was rejecting by the senate (or leg, may be wrong), so maybe it's to early, but the majority of New Yorkers support it, and the state is surrounded by gay marriage states, so I'll say yes.
I'm hopeful to the point of wanting to say yes but there's an underlying fear it wont. I decided to choose no.
I really hope so, but beyond the city and the boroughs, NY is kinda conservative. If it doesn't pass i wouldn't be surprised to be honest.
Realistically, I think it won't pass this session. But for good karma I voted Yes I certainly hope so.
