That's amazing. I give her family credit for going outside to see her. Her step dad is an a-hole.

yes well I suppose she should have just denied who she was, made her life living hell and probably killed herself before her mother died, that would have been a much more appropriate scenario. Then again I suppose that a biggoted prick like that step father would have preffered that. He will see one day, one day the higher powers will make him pay for his actions.

Wow. I didnt read it all, but i hope the ending *was* good.

Thats just sick that he would hire a cop to keep someone out of there own mothers funeral. Thats up there with protesting at someones funeral. NO respect for the dead from alot of people, sigh.

Throughout the reading of this article, I got SO angry with her step-father and the other lady who came out. Ignorance and disrespect, killer combination. I'm just glad that the other family members wised up and came to her and then eventually she got to fully mourn her mother's death. Also, the nurse was a great help and I'm glad she said what she said.

Hmm, good on her. I'd have clocked him between the eyes. Hard to anger I may be, but I make up for it with unrestrained rage when someone actually manages it, and that dick definitely qualifies.

wow thats a pretty amazing story, a terrible story, but in the end it was the step-father and his family that came off badly, i just get amazed how even in today's society so much prejudice and hate still exists
