Since India has decriminalized (still in question) homosexual acts and many states/ nations have adopted same-sex marriage I was wondering: what gay rights issue would you like to see happen primarily?

My absolute priorities (in kinda order, kinda not):

    1. Hate Crimes Legislation
    2. Workplace Non-Discrimination
    3. Repeal of DOMA

I feel as if the others one don't, or wouldn't, affect me as immediately. Safety comes first I think (i.e. penalties for hate crimes). Of course, all of them are equally important and all of them I'd try to vote for! :')

The house has passed the hate crimes bill, it's stalled in the Senate and am working on senators to get it passed. Both of my Senators: Dodd and Lieberman have said they will vote for the bill when it reaches the floor.

i said anti bullying legislation as in the grand scheme of thins DADT aint that wide an issue the worst that can happen is your kicked out of the army...so you dont get shot its a shame i know.....<.<....

the uk allrady has anti work discrimination and hate crime discrimination is covered under any hate against someone...

but anti bullying in society can still happen easilly and make many people suffer, like in schools, college, uni out in public places and pubs ...so on and so on.... a police officer may say somthign or another member of public but theres nothing other than disturbing the piece and you can bully lgbt people without it beeing covered as hate crime ....so actual protection would be great

    I picked "other".

I want the 2 wars we're in to be over. That's my first priority, and my 2nd being the economy.

    1. Workplace nondiscrimination
    2. Repeal DOMA (what good is marriage in my state if it's not recognized in others and I don't get federal benefits?)
    3. SSM in my state (overturn Prop 8! -- Hey, that rhymes)

Quite honestly I'd love to see them all, but that takes time. Now the big 3 for me are:
    1) Anti-bullying/Hate crime legeslation.
    2) Repeal of DOMA.
    3) Same sex marriage in my state/country.

The first thing needs to be the repeal of DOMA, then legalizing same-sex marriage would be a lot easier throughout the country.

The majority of those already exist here, so I voted marriage and US DADT, because well they matter.
