Actress Meredith Baxter reveals she is a lesbian

i dont really know anything about her...but i allways find these sorts of things unsettleing i guess... they come out cos theyve 'been caught' not cos they want to be open and happy with themselves or would of done it long ago and maybe in teh lgbt political climate of late shes jsut trying to get some publicity to jump her carrer...what can i say im a sceptical soul lol.

 

It's because the entertainment industry is still really heterocentric. A lot of celebrities come out once their careers have been established because a good portion of the time if they come out early they won't be able to find work. Look at Adam Lambert his record label wanted to downplay that he's gay.

 

I just read this,too and I think it's great that she's now out. I think she's a good actress and she deserves to be happy. I wish her all the best!

 

I named my 2nd child after her character on Family Ties.
