Peter Corren, a British Columbia based gay rights activist, died over the holidays of cancer. Along with his husband, the pair helped fight for anti-discrimination rulings in BC school disctrics, majority helped gain gay marriage rights in 2003 (two years before the federal ruling), fought for gay adoption rights, and many other things.

One of the things that makes me the most impressed is this

So much dedication. The man had Polio since he was two for crying out loud! I am ashamed to say i did not know about him till today, but im going to do my best to honor his memory the best way i can; educate myself and others. I encourage others to research up on their own local heros, before they are gone.
