Portugal Legalizes Gay Marriage!

    It's my honour to say that my country has legalizes gay marriage. We are now the ninth country to do so in the world.
    The law doesn't include adoption, but we'll continue to fight for that.


    Personal note:

    I never in my life thought I would see this. I'm crying of happiness. I'm soooo happy!!!

    The President only has a representative part in all of this. He has the right to veto, but it was approved by majority in Parliament, and that's more important.

    Oh that is wonderful then, my father's home nation of Spain allows it, my mother's home nation of Sweden allows it, and my home state in the US allows it......our time is now people.

    Congrats to the people of Portugual for making history today!

    Yay! Congrats :eusa_clap ..and the day that gay marriage exists for Nevada outside of marriage ceramony performed by some Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas..I will be extremely happy..hehe :lol:

    Was just reading about it actually. It's a major step in the right direction. If approved in April, Portugal would be only the sixth European country allowing same-sex couples to get married.
