    Cool article.

The swiftness and certitude of Fujita’s reply stunned Dave Zirin, the friend who sent the e-mail. Zirin had not made a typical request, not for an NFL linebacker. He was looking for a professional athlete to lend his name to the National Equality March, a rally in Washington for gay rights...

He hoped Fujita would help but assumed he at least would waffle. But there was the e-mailed response: “Absolutely.’’

Now Zirin worried. Didn’t Fujita want to at least discuss the implications of an endorsement? Fujita told Zirin they could talk if he wanted, but nothing would change his mind.

Well I'll be honest, I never thought I'd see the day. But that is pretty neat.

I think this will be a huge step in further eliminating homophobia that remains relatively high among certain demographics.:eusa_clap

One more reason to root for the Saints!

  10. This is the type of thing that warms my heart. To know that some people involved in something to traditionally bound to the macho stereotype (by people in the LGBT community mostly IMO) are in fact not what they seem

I read both pages of that article and all i can say is WOW. I know articles can sometimes overly flatter people but if he is even half the man the article makes him out to be then the world needs a lot more professional athletes like that.

Maybe this can teach us a little lesson about the prejudices we harbor.

    Good news all around!

Scott Fujita is a Saint!

The world needs more like him. I'm glad to see a guy in the NFL lending his support so enthusiastically.

That's awesome. The more people that start to become "unafraid" of stating their opinion the more positive the issue will become amongst people who otherwise would have backed away from subjects like this.
