Heh, awesome. I always love stories like these.

or maybe ironically its the end of the world as we know it.

 

That's awesome. I would do that, but they never come to Canada - we arrested them for hate speech. XD

Free speech is this awful, disgusting, wonderful thing. On one level, I hope Fred Phelps falls down a flight of stairs at least once daily until all of his bones are broken in three places, including cartilage. On another, more practical level, I fully support their right to free speech, even if I despise their message. (I highly doubt that they'll cause any significant swing in the direction opposite of gay rights, too).

That's also why I love these counter-protester stories. As confusing and frustrating as free speech is, it's nice to see that there's plenty of sense left in the world.

If they believe that God hates Jews, then why in bloody hell are they Christian? Jesus was the Son of God, and he was a JEW! I mean come on that is a bloody no brainer! Does that mean they hate the person they claim to work for?

 

they are just mad at god for forgetting their share of brains.

 

To be honest, I don't know if counter-protesting the WBC-Phelps cult is really the best thing to do. Wouldn't it also be a good idea just to ignore them and not give any of them the attention they seem to desperately crave? If you starve them of all media outlets, wouldn't they just fade away into obscurity? They're not going to change their mind about their beliefs or the tactics they use, so why feed the trolls?

 

I don't think so, because they've said that they will be sinning if they do not do everything in their power to inform America of it's impending doom. They want to be heard. And will take drastic measures that the media can't ignore. Faith and perseverance are very powerful things.

You can turn their protest into something positive and helpful. There's the Phelps-a-thon and stuff. Just don't give up hope.
