There's this pro-gay marriage group on Facebook titled (http://tinyurl.com/y3h9n4m) "Puppies Against Mike Huckabee" due to some outlandish comments made by Huckabee, who said: He also talks about how the military shouldn't concern itself with repealing DADT (Dont Ask Don't Tell) since it seems that the only pressure to remove DADT is from outside the military and not from within. <bias>I don't know how idiots like that thrive in the Republican party. Seeing as countless children in heterosexual households are being abused and neglected in america, and many children in same-sex households are being well cared for, and are growing up to be well adjusted, contributing members of society, this should be a closed book on the matter. It doesn't matter the gender of the parents. all that matters is the quality of the care and parenting they provide. Makes me wonder how screwed up Mike Huckabee's kids ultimately are, growing up in a household that promotes vitrolic lies.
Honestly. the moment the GOP drops fundementalist hate based christanity as the main driving force of their platform, then it is the moment politics will get back to what it should be... legislation free of religions dogma and extremeisem. But that is like telling lindsey lohan to stop snorting any powdered substance she can get her hands on (though selling her powdered sugar for 50bucks a gram does sound lucrative, to say the least!!!)
