    :eusa_clap Finally. This is one of the biggest things that needed change. Way more than DADT I have to say. I mean to not be allowed to be with your partner if they're dying or just sick is just horrible.

    He may not be doing as much as he should, but he is still doing quite a bit. I would honestly rather see him play it safe and win a second term than do something that might prevent him from being reelected.

    The sad thing:

    Expect Westboro, etc, to get this reversed by claiming it's discriminating against straight people, who still can't get non family visitors. >_>

    I don't think it's official yet. But it looks like he's pushing for it. :slight_smile: I agree that it would be extremely kick-ass. We've needed this for a long time. EQUALITY!!!:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:ride:

    reason i came back to this site is when i was at the gym i saw breaking news!! Obama orders same sex couples visitationr rights!!

    and then my family and i saw a lesbian couple on tv and it reminded me of this site!!

  13. This is getting a lot of rather positive sounding coverage in Oklahoma. Nothing negative about it. I'm a bit surprised. But really glad! This is a good first step, but he needs to deliver further on his promises
