    Mmm, a controversial issue for Texas. :lol:

    Texas (is likely mostly Republican, from what I know of anyway), and therefore they are mostly against gay marriage. Yes?

    ...If Texas lets them "divorce" then that would be acknowledging that there was a (cue: Oh no!) "Gay marriage" in the first place! Heaven forbid!

    While on the flip side, if they put in a bill to allow same sex couples to divorce, but not to "marry", then they would be even more discriminatory.

    Oh Texas... the sweltering mud you sweat in.

    Texas is probably the most conservative of the states in the US; certainly its a conservative stronghold, at least in terms of style of government, economics, justice system. Civil liberties would also be a bastion of conservative ideology.
