Hawaii Legislature OKs historic civil unions bill; governor now must decide

I really can't get excited about this because I ablsolutely abhor the Civil Union. Even if all the rights are the same, its still not the same as a marriage to me. I guess this is good but it's really not good enough for me.

 

ooo look at that, it includes heterosexual couples IN the bill, if he decides no, he's also preventing heteros.

Anywho, this is not far enough! Gay marriage in Hawai'i now!

 

It's progress. You can't expect to go from nothing to everything overnight. I actually support Civil Unions if a state won't allow gay marriage. I know it's a controversial subject, but in my opinion a little bit of right is better than no rights. That's actually one of the problems I see in our community; everyone is so impatient.
