Um, don't their views, concerns and perspectives not matter? Don't they sign up to do whatever the government tells them to? And from what I've read, heard, and seen most men and women in uniform don't give a shit if they person watching their backs likes dudes or chicks. This entire thing is just fucking ridiculous.

So let me get this straight, it's violating their freedom of speech and religion? But being forced to lie on a daily basis and betray yourself isn't a violation of the freedom of an LGBT person. Ugh... this is fucking stupid.

That's funny... The letter is coming from Gates with his views, concerns, and perspectives. It isn't a letter based on a poll taken by all military personal or anything like that so how does he know that everyone in the military agrees with him?
