Goddammit. Somebody somewhere pulled some political strings; I kinda doubt this was Obama himself making the decision. Someone wanted to push it back, and Obama caved.

It seems almost too strategic to have been someone else though. They pushed it till 2013; if he gets re-elected he doesn't have to look at it till then, if he doesn't get re-elected it's not his problem. To me the date they pushed it to seems too convenient to have been someone other than Obama or his cabinet.

In all likelyhood, that means that DADT won't be repealed during his administration. Even if he does get reeleected(I believe he will) its rare for a president to have a lot of success with their agenda in their second term.

I wonder if ENDA is on the chopping block too.

Why? It won't ever be perfect. We all pretty much live great lives compared to other countries.

Things will get better. With Obama, IMO I don't think so.

Sigh, if Obama doesn't get re-elected, want to know what's going to happen. DADT won't be repealed because I bet the other person going for President will be Palin and there's no effing way she'd even look at DADT.

There is no way in hell Sarah Palin will ever be President of the United States. No way.

And if I'm wrong, I'm running off to the hills of Bhutan. Canada is not far enough away.

But if she does win, I think I'll be saying "I fucking hate this country" much more.
But yeah, the odds of her winning are low anyways.

You know I love America and all, but everyday Canada is look better and better. I mean Canada has more freedoms then America does and we are suppose to be the freest nation on Earth.
